Membership

ADCA is a membership based organisation that represents groups and individuals concerned with harm from the use of alcohol and other drugs. Membership runs over the calendar year from January to December.

Who are our members?

ADCA members are a diverse group of organisations, services, agencies and individuals engaged in AOD services throughout Australia. Our membership base includes AOD service providers, law enforcement, those working in the criminal justice system, policy analysts, administrators, major research centres, tertiary institutions, and has representatives from the government and non-government sector.

Member Benefits

ADCA members have the opportunity to influence and inform ADCA policy and advocacy. We consult broadly with the intention of representing the Australian non-government AOD sector. We work collaboratively with the government, non-government, business and community sectors to promote evidence-informed, socially just approaches aimed at preventing or reducing the health, economic and social harm caused by alcohol and other drugs.

We offer a range of online services to support the AOD sector through the National Drug Sector Information Service (NDSIS), the Register of Australian Drug and Alcohol Research (RADAR), the National Inhalants Information Service (NIIS), Drug Database, Drugfields, Update, and Drugtalk.

By joining ADCA:

  • you have access to a broad network of people in the AOD sector that you can communicate with through our online discussion group
  • you have direct input into ADCA's activities and in determining priorities for our work
  • you have access to the latest information and resources and a range of online services and databases
  • you receive our member newsletter, ADCA News and our monthly news brief ADCA Activities
  • you have access to information on professional development activities, and
  • you can vote in all ADCA elections.
